Linking Circular Economy and Sustainable Energy Technology through Quintuple Helix Perspective

Sustainable energy development had been signified as the pathways for global transition, that drive important changes in how is being generated, transmitted, and consumed. The concept of Circular Economy (CE) has proposed to address environmental problem by minimizing resource inputs emission generation, reuse waste refuse from conventional production process obtain a further benefit. However, contribution CE sustainable its link Quintuple Helix (QH) elements still ambiguous. This paper intends fulfil this gap examining five main QH contribute ecosystem, namely academia, companies, environment, government, society. Innovative technologies sludge management urban wastewater sectors are discussed case study. A framework relating with innovation future research. Practical recommendations associated policies also provided.
